Neuropathic pain | Develops from an injury to a nerve or group of nerves. May be difficult to alleviate. |
Nociceptive pain | Typically triggered by a mild headache, burn, cut, bump or bruise, surgery or bone fracture. Generally gets better by itself as the healing takes place. |
