Oklahoma execution durations

Since 2010 an execution by lethal injection averaged about 6 mins in Oklahoma. The state previously used two three-drug combinations containing either sodium thiopental (light blue) or pentobarbital (dark blue). Clayton Lockett died 43 minutes after doctors began to administer a three-drug combination that included midazolam.
