Prices paid for alum by the City of Duluth illustrate the rising price between 1997 and 2010, the time of alleged price fixing. Other cities, like Minneapolis, saw similar price rises but on a larger scale because they purchase more of the chemical. Each of the purchases below were for 150,000 gallons of the ingredient.
